The meditation course facilitates Putai’s "awareness education". Held weekly, the solemn atmosphere in the meditation room settles down students’ floating mind gradually, thus the mind becomes clearer.
As a Buddhism-based school, PTSH promotes a culture to develop the core values of respect, compassion, altruism and purity of mind. Our school, situated in the scenic mountains of Nantou County, Taiwan, consists of junior and high school divisions. Our serene, beautiful, campus of 22 hectares provides students with an environment conducive to the nurturing of a broad mind, peaceful temperament, and an aesthetic attitude towards life.
The library resembles unfolded bamboo slips, symbolizing books. In addition to the welcoming reading area, the multimedia rooms are for self-study or group work purposes. With nearly 80,000 volumes in 5 different languages, our beautiful library is one of students’ favorite places on campus.

The Lecture Hall promotes traditional Chinese culture and literacy. The one-week Chinese literacy program lays a good foundation for students. Inspired by the style of traditional Chinese academies, in a simple and quiet atmosphere, with solid wooden tables and chairs, the study hall welcomes people as in an ancient academy.
Two fully-equipped labs setup with audio and video facilities enhance students’ language learning in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The lab allows students to access online material or prepare for remote classes and tests.
It is a six-story green cylindrical building with models of the sun and eight planets, helping students further understand the solar system. There is a star exhibition hall and an astronomy classroom in the planetarium. A high-quality telescope was set up for the teachers and students to have a glimpse of the beauty of the vast starry sky.
Our upscale auditorium has 1,200 seats and is equipped with a professional audio system. It is the best space for large-scale events such as theater performances, orchestra concerts, general education lectures, etc.
The four independent dormitories are well-equipped providing students a great living environment. Each suit accommodates four persons and is equipped with one desk, one bed and one wardrobe as well as a bright and spacious bathroom space.
Activity Center can house 5,000 people, and it contains a well-equipped fitness center, a dancing room, a martial arts arena, a table tennis room and a fencing room. Sport facilities include an Olympic-size pool, a 400-meter track, a soccer arena, 15 basketball courts, 3 volleyball courts, 10 badminton courts, 2 tennis courts, 1 archery arena,
The Music Center offers a variety of courses for Chinese and Western musical instruments. Guided and taught by professional teachers, there are individual classes, choirs, orchestras, string orchestras, and music literacy classes provided to continue music education systematically from elementary, middle to high school. In addition, 52 personal piano rooms are provided for students to practice in a comfortable environment.
