With the aspiration to spread the education of enlightenment in Buddhism and to provide a high-quality educational environment for future generations, the Venerable Master Wei Chueh, the founding abbot of Chung Tai Chan Monastery,
formulated a plan to create a 12-year comprehensive school system in 1998. Plans were followed by diligent actions. In 2004, Pu Tai Elementary school officially opened, Junior High took in its first batch of students in 2006, and
Senior High held its opening ceremony on August 29, 2009, thus realizing the goal of creating a consistent twelve-year educational system.
Education is a continuous and never-ending process. As the final stage in the 12-year
educational system, Pu Tai Senior High School abides by the philosophy of holistic education as well as our school motto-To our elders be respectful; to our juniors be kind; with all humanity be harmonious; in all endeavors be
true, in order to provide a well-rounded learning environment in which students are morally and intellectually nurtured to be future pillars of the society.
