Coming from the North or the South
Take Highway No. 3 to Wufeng Interchange (exit 214) and connect to No. 6 toward Guoxing and Puli. Take the second exit toward Puli and Guoxing. Turn right, head towards Puli, turn right onto Zhongzheng Road, then turn left to Yongfeng Road. Look for “Chung Tai Chan Monastery” road signs and follow them. Turn straight onto Dongfeng Road, pass the gate of "Chung Tai Chan Monastery" and go toward Chihkan Farm.
Public Transportation
Motor Transport
Take the Kuo-Kuang bus to Puli Town, and then change to another means of transportation to Chung Tai Chan monastery (For example, a taxi - the journey takes about 20 minutes).
Taiwan Railway
Take the Taiwan Railway to Taichung Station, and then take a bus to Puli at Taichung Gancheng Station.
After arriving in Puli, change to another means of transportation to get to Chung Tai Chan Monastery.
High-Speed Rail
Take the High-Speed Rail to Taichung Station, and then take a bus to Puli. After arriving in Puli, take another means of transportation to Chung Tai Chan Monastery.

From Taichung to Puli
--Two suggested routes for cars
1.After exiting Guanyin Tunnel, turn left at the first intersection, cross Guanyin Bridge, go straight about 500 meters, turn right at the first fork, and follow the "Chung Tai Chan Monastery" road signs for about 6 kilometers.
2.After exiting the tunnel, turn left at Shanxin Bridge at the second intersection and follow the "Chung Tai Chan Monastery" road signs for about 5 kilometers.
--Coach Route
After going through Guanyin No. 3 Tunnel, continue going straight and cross Ailan Bridge into Puli Town. Drive along Zhongshan Road, turn left at Tongyi Sumaile Gas Station, take Xinyi Road, go through Zongfu intersection onto Zhongzheng Road, turn left and go straight for about 5 kilometers (or turn left and go straight for about 6 kilometers to Xi'an Road), turn left onto Yongfeng Road, then turn left to Dongfeng Road, go straight through the gate of "Chung Tai Chan Monastery", and go toward Chihkan Farm.
Coming from Sun Moon Lake
Go north on Road 21, cross Ailan Bridge toward Puli Town. Drive along Zhongshan Road, turn left at Tongyi Sumaile Gas Station, take Xinyi Road, turn left onto Zhongzheng Road and go straight for about 5 kilometers, or turn left for Xi'an Road and go straight for about 6 kilometers, turn left to Yongfeng Road, then turn left to Dongfeng Road, go straight through the gate of "Chung Tai Chan Monastery", and head towards Chihkan Farm.
